I just got some rims

Hey guys

I just got rims off a 350z, the 5 spoke 35 anni edition wheels

Well I love how the car looks. I just want to fix one thing, the tires. They are the same setup as stock on the Z. Which is 225/45/18 for the fronts and 245/45/18 for the rears

Now the Wheel specs are 18x8f and 18x8.5r

So I was wondering what size tires to get? I think 235/40/18 was the right size but not 100% sure.

+1. looks like you need a lil stretch for clearance... so you can crank those teins back down.

potenzas and RE040s are garbage stock tires.

i still ask myself why nissan insists on putting these on out of the factory. they arent cheap at all, and the quality is sub par.

Nothing probably. Maybe some rubbing issues. Just check once a week to make sure.

Yeah I know I am rubbing a little. It is basicallygping eat away at my tires right? And since my tires are bigger my speedo is off, that's not going to mess with my transmission is it?

Yeah, it will eat away at your tires for sure. However, if you hit a bump bad enough, it could crinkle/damage the fender slightly.

Assuming your wheels aren't extremely heavy, there will be no ill effects on your tranny. If they are heavy boat anchors, the tranny will have to work just a little harder...no biggie IMO.

I wanted him to get a good visual of how the T1R's totally enhance the look of the rims and distract the eyes from the tiny brakes.

T1R's FTW.

Interior overhaul, then some extreme custom body work and a new paint job.
