Removed 8lbs a wheel and I can't run better than previous best ET.

Alright so I got new rims a few months ago. Since then I have had about 10 passes on about 4 different occasions.
***EDIT: Both sets of rims are 17s.
I have yet to hit 14.7xx!!!!!!!!!!
I know I have a leak in my clutch system somewhere that I discovered before my last couple track outings. It runs down in a week or so.
Is that why I am running so crappy???
Everyday has been summer weather. Hot as heck, but still.
I hope nothing is wrong with my car. I hope I have just had some sh!tty conditions.
Maybe I should get this leak checked out. I am scared about how much $$$$ it is.
last outing was 9.8 1/8 mi ....

if your rims are a bigger size than the original than your weight is further from the axle therefore it is harder to turn. even though it is lighter, the rotatioal resistance is greater and therefore they cancel each other out, or you could have even gotten worse.
Both sets of rims are 17s.
I had just bought new tires for my old rims so when I got my new rims I had the tires transfered onto the new rims...therefore old rims have no tires on them.

oh its not slipping so i guess i cant blame anything on the clutch...i know its still grabbing hard but it just doesnt work at all when the fluid runs down and i have to fill it back up .
You know this is why I tend to believe at times that this type of weight reduction is still a theory/myth cause of all the different stories I hear. I take Kloogy who has those Mille Miglia 19s and still runs awesome times for a 2k2 auto.

Emax ran awesome times with his 18's and stock tires as well.

And his 18s are SSRs which are fairly lightweight.

They are still 18's and ran better than a lot of boosted cars on this forum.
Yea but you comparing his #s to what boosted car? a SC on an auto 5th gen? Not the best comparison when he has the 6psd on his car and can powershift the hell out of it. Im not taking anything away from Ethans times, he knows i wouldnt do that.

What are your track times? Do you race your car a lot since you have so many performance mods?
Haaha, where you see all those mods on there? Cause I havent updated my website. Turbo is the latest one. Ive have ran it at the track but it was not running right. Still has issues.
Right now the car sits in my garage on jackstands being totally redone (turbo kit that is).

more pics of the turbo kit are found on sprintmaxs turbomaxima site but I think that is down.

I've run the 14.102 on "bone stock" setup of 17x8CSA's + 245/45zr17's.... weighs in at a little over 55lbs
I'll be trying for a personal best with 15x7 millenia wheels (11lbs) + Nitto 555R's on the 27th... I'll let you folks know how that difference turns out
