Hy to everybody.

Can somebody tell:
If to lower your ride 1.5 inch. I will put H&R springs
in 4th. gen Max with 5 speed tranny, does it improve your
60' and 1/4 mile time also. Cause at least theoretically it should increase traction at launch. I have also Koni adjustable shocks.
My best so far 14.8(95.6mph) 60'-2.27(with MT slicks) and 1/8-9,61.
I sure do need improvement?

Yes! It always improve when you lower your car. I use to pull 2.2 2.3 all the time after lowering I pulled 2.1 and lower my ET. Now that I have bald tires I pull 2.2 and 2.3 now again.

You should be able to get better than a 2.2 60' on slicks with the stock suspension. But lowering isn't gonna really help to much, maybe a little. The main thing with a fwd car is to have no weight transfer. You want a really stiff rear suspension setup.

Suspension is not your problem, but it can help a little bit. Your 60' times are terrible for being on slicks. They are quite a bit worse than many people get on their normal street tires.

Something else is going on, either your launching technique is terrible, or your aren't getting your tires dry, or something.

Maybe the engine is already not in its best age, my 1/4 mile best tops speed was once even 100mph but recently only 93-95. My technic is that I am launching in 3500-4000rpm and best is 2.2 with stock springs and KONI shocks.
I should get better but i do not know how or what should I improve!.
My car top speed is very good for 3l Maxima and I just cannot figure what is the problem. Thanks.

I don't know what to tell you. Have you tried launching higher than 4000? I learned my first day ever running on slicks back in 2002 that 4000rpm was not enough. I would just bog and end up with like 2.0-2.1 60's. I found I was able to dump the clutch at 5500rpm and pull 1.8 60' foot times all day long, stock clutch. I could not launch higher than 5500 or else the clutch would not hold well, but 5500 worked for me for 3 years.

I think the best way is to start the launch rpm high and work your way down until you start hooking.

Like start at redline, if you spin, back the rpm down accordingly. If you hook, then you will have a huge grin on your face.

Same goes with the tire pressure. Start at maybe 12psi and go down 1psi at a time until traction is achieved.

There's so many variables in launching a car. You just have to experiment.
Hopefully me and Neal helped a little bit.

I sure will try it.
My clutch is Exedy Stage 1.
It should hold on slippering and heat very well.
Thanks
