No bueno....
Long drive from Dallas, maybe an hour of rest for the Maxi. Racetime at night about 88 degrees, houston humidity.
Excuses right......
02 auto (im spacer, bop plate, jwt pop)
2.25 60 ft
9.47 1/8 @ 76.36
14.66 @ 94.62
Basically I was quicker by .1 with addition of IM spacer. But maybe not fair because when ran that it was 60 something degrees out.

Plus I had that lazy auto shifting action from trying to let my car sit so I know I didn't get my true numbers also from that.
But your right I think with DA corrections I would be 14.2 @ 97

Uh uh, I think I know. I might have to hit that up sometime.
But damn I only got to see 3 other Nissans cars I thought would be competition for me but didn't get lined up with them. A black 02 model Altima 3.5 on some 20's that ran 15.5. And 02 model G35 coupe that ran 15.0. New V6 stang ran 15.0 also.
I'm impressed by a lot of those trucks out there running 13's and ofcourse the v8 stangs, camaros, wrx's, srt-4's.

Well looks like I know what time I will be running this Friday. I have the same exact mods but I'm on stock rims so that might make a difference?
How did you launch? I'm not sure the local dragstrip can handle a very aggressive launch so maybe just keep it at idle then slowly put it to the floor?

These are FORGED 19"s lol. Lighter than stock. But yeah stocks should help. And hopefully when you go its cooler outside.
Basically I let the car shift itself. At the launch, I brake torque a little maybe up to 1500 (car won't really let you go any higher) then get off brakes and kinda feel for a little scratch then decide how much to punch. Seemed so much easier when I had stick shift though, was much easier to ride clutch.
If you think track will be similar to street grip. You may just wanna practice launch situations before you go.

IMO, the term Forged & 19" is a semi oxymoron, why go that big if trying to save weight? I even have an issue with Forged 18's. Don't let the sig pic fool you, those are my vanity wheels, just so happens they're forged. When I'm serious about it, I slap on my forged 17's.
Forged 16 & 17's if your brakes support it, now that's where I support forged wheels.

Yeah I have tried launching from just idle before and had a nice peel out through first and a little second.
nmexMAX how much does the weight of the wheel going from stock to say around 18 lbs affect the launch with street tires? Wouldn't it be more likely to spin without drag radials?

I'm curious which Houston Track you went too? I've tried the one out in Sealy and it's was hard to launch compared to Baytown's Royal Purple Raceway park (formerly Houston Raceway Park), I've lauched with 2.1/sec/60ft consistently with an intake problem called a INJEN Intake which was suffocating my topend....a still run back to back 14.6 (03 A/T)you could actually hear it bog down after 1000 ft and switching into 3rd gear....
Royal Purple. Never been to the one in Sealy. Nice launch, I can only wish, maybe in the spring when I have some new rubber I can get 2.1.

I was thinking you went to the track on the other side of Houston (West side) called LoneStar Motorsport park @ the Hennessey shop! The launches suck there I could never hook up none of the times I went there! The elevation is 226.4 ft above sea level.....Those 2.1 /sec/60Ft were with 18" wheels by the way (245/40/18), I had the Progress Sport Springs/Illuminas with stock Motor mounts....I'm running ES MM now and I know it hooks better than before....

No never been there. You will have to let me know when you go back to the track in the spring. By then I'll have my new rubber and should have my ES mm in, plus I'm not on stock suspension anymore so hopefully I can hit 14.4.

DA calculator shows your time could be 14.0@100mph under best conditions. Aaron showed me this link and it's voodoo magic, but it gives a better feeling. lol
