pedal jam

I recently did the 60mm tb mod to my car. I finally had it all hooked up right and everything worked, or so I thought. well today when I was driving the accelerator pedal jammed. So i put it in neutral and pulled over. Opened the hood and the cable was on the other side of the bracket(piece the cable hooks into) causing the jam. So I got it back into the right spot. So heres my question: Is there something that Im forgetting to do? Any special things one needs to do to rehook a throttle cable up?
The cable doesn't go back into the wire (like i think its suppose to do). It just loops upwards, and thats what caused it to jam (it looped out). how do i fix this so that it does what it is suppose to do? i dont want this happening again, scared me enough once.

sorry im not an artist, but hopefully that helps a little (top is normal, bottom is mine)

thanks in advance

hmmm sounds like your cable is too long to the sounds of it. You probably need to adjust the length or cut the cable to the appropriate size...or at least that's what I'm thinking.

you know where the cable starts to enter the plastic tubing(that part that you said it wont go into any more)? that part where it mounts, you could possibly get some sheet aluminum and make a bracket that moves it farther back until the cable is nice and taught.
