Fuel sending unit & Fuel pump part#

1 Attachment(s)
HELP!- Anyone know the part number or a place where I can purchase the fuel sending unit since Nissan has made this part obsolete:bawling:. I have ran into a situation where car's fuel gauge on dash is not being monitored...tank was topped off (filled) but gauge reads empty. Fuse was checked and is okay as well as relay. Not sure if this related but also yesterday car began to sputter and shut off. Had to be towed home but upon arrival, the car then cranked up and ran fine. Could this be a situation where either the fuel pump, sending unit or fuel pressure regulator is bad or should I put my attention to the MAF sensor?

might want to check wiring, get a multi meter and check Ohm on your sending unit and such, and for fuel pump you should be able to find a aftermarket for a decent price

Thank you for the info Vernk, much appreciated!
Unfortunately Nissan no longer makes fuel sending units  so gas tank will have to be monitored very closely manually until a aftermarket one can somehow be located. If anyone knows of one please let me know. As for the car sputtering and shutting off, I Took car to my mechanic and he indicated that the MAF sensor was bad creating too rich of a fuel/air mixture so I had him replace it. Hopefully this solves the problem

Might not hurt to see if maybe an early 3rd gen one will work?? Im sure the 3rd gens may be a little easier to find at a local scrap yard.

Or just go with a Walbro 90lph....

Fuel pumps are plentiful, but what is really needed is the Fuel Sending Unit. Update on the MAF sensor...it was replaced and car has been running much better with a gas mileage per gallon increase as well. Mechanic informed me to also replace AIC valve and Cold start valve in the near future as well.

I have a full intake I wouldn't mind getting rid of, if you would like one to play with and can come with all sensors and such.
