In serch of 2nd Gen 5 speed

Hello fellow maxima enthusiast. I'm located in Philadelphia. I've been on the lookout for a 5 speed manual transmission that I can swap out my auto. Paypal ready to buy

you may have to convert with 3rd gen parts. i did and exhaustive search in texas and couldnt find any 2nd gens. i had to just use 91 parts. its difficult, but possible.

yea finding them is not a easy task, since so many went to the junk yard due to needing in put shaft bearings, yes the 3rd gen VG are about the same some differences in gearing but other then that they will bolt in the same....

I did the conversion without finding a 2nd gen Max donor. Bear with me I sound a little like Johnny Cash. The shifter, pedals, half the shifter linkage, one transmission mount, steel line from clutch master cylinder to slave Came out of a 1987 Stanza. Stanza transmission will not bolt up due to bellhousing difference on 4cyl to 6cyl. Next I got my transmission and half of the shifter linkage out of a 1989 Maxima. Lastly I found the heavy duty cross member on a 1987 automatic Maxima with a tow package.
