2nd Gen Maxima Headers?

Hey! I am wanting to put on headers, but the link on the stickied posts doesnt work, and hasnt worked for awhile. Does anyone know where I can get some new or used? Its for the 1988 year if that matters at all.

i would imagine 3rd gen ones would be the same as 2nd gen. only ones if at all around still would likely be from the brand PaceSetter and theyre notorious for fitment issues. for exhaust stuff on my VG i ended up going WarpSpeed Y pipe to the mandrel exhaust we had as a group buy around 10 years ago with aftermarket muffler/resonator, thats around the best combo for exhaust work. headers i dont even know if you can find anymore

I used the Pacesetter which has been copied by OBX in SS form...I welded between the 2 merge pipes threw all the springs in the trash installed to Vibrant Flex couplings to do the flexing not the ball-n-socket flanges. Once the proper position was obtained, I tightened the new SS hardware at both fwd and aft ball-n-socket flanges and the exhaust worked perfectly with a minor rubbing in reverse only and that was solved wrapping the rack and pinion assy with exhaust wrap....

CMax wouldn't it have made more sense to have grinded down the flange a little rather than wrap the rack? Would it not eventually rub through the exhaust wrap? Kenji, Not sure about 2nd gen but OBX should still have headers for sale on eBay for the 3rd gen If they're still available. Not sure what kind of mods would be needed or if they'd even work at all?? Hope you have luck in your search.

I did grind it down as much as possible and wrap the Rack and Pinion! I have a friend with a super clean 87 Maxima with a 5 spd M/T, cylinder heads have bent valves and this car is the cleanest I've seen he's parting ways with for $500....

He wants to save for me but I have enough projects under construction and barely time to do them! I want him to buy a couple of heads for Rock Auto or ebay and I'll install them! But he stated that he's burnt through alot cash and he just wants to part ways! I'm seriously thinking about putting up in a storage unit and do the work on it in the unit away from my home. So my Honey Bunny doesn't complain! I'll try to post some pics ASAP it's a beauty!

Any chance he has the original SE foglights? I'm on the hunt for those too~ And possibly weather-stripping for the sunroof

Me and another buddy are more than likely gonna buy this, and put it in storage and either build another VG30E or place a used VG30E in it from a Z31....It's a 5 spd tranny and I installed it years ago. the owner decided to change his timing belt. I told to call me to assist him cause I knew he had no clue what he was doing. long story short he bent up all the valves....and has had the car in the garage on jack stands for well over 10 years.
