Pop charger noises (besides the growl)
I just installed my JWT POP charger last weekend, all went very well. I *love* the growl! It also makes a cool "click/hiss" noise when tapping the gas to rev it quicklky, which I discovered was coming from the cone contracting quickly while sucking in air at first. I like that noise too :-D However, it makes this really weird whistling noise when under normal driving.
The pop charger came with a piece of paper that said it was "pre-oiled and ready for use" so I didn't oil it, but I am wondering if they forgot to oil this one, because it feels bone dry to me.
How can you tell if it's been properly oiled?
Has anyone else heard this whistling noise?
Thanks!

Yep, samething here. It makes a relly cool whistling sound. Poeple have asked me if its a turbo or when you tap on it really quick it can give you a weak Blow off valve sound. Just another cool sound the JWT makes.

About the oil thing though, how can you tell if the filter element has been oiled? It doesn't seem like mine has been, and isn't it bad to be driving around with an unoiled filter? I'd like to be able to make sure it's oiled somehow but I don't know how...should it be obvious?

Filter care kit is like 10 bucks at a parts store that sells K&N stuff...

if its a K&N, the filter is a reddish color, when its cleaned it turns to an offwhiteish. if its something else, i have no idea.
