Rear Speaker Q

I tried searching through all the threads for an answer but.....right now I currently have a sony after market head unit with all 4 bose speakers with an adapter to run it. My 2 rear speakers are almost dead and I want to get them replaced. This guy I know can put 2 6x9s for a special deal. Would I be able to just take the stock bose 6x9s and put the new aftermarket ones in? I mean the Question is would it work, because i still have the bose adapter for the sony headunit connected and I am keeping the 2 front bose speakers. I just want the back ones replaced. So can I just slip in em and will everything run perfectly....

Yes...

I just did my system and my Infinity Kappas 6x9's fit perfectly into the rear Bose speaker housing. All you do is remove the Bose housing, take out the bose speakers and put in your new ones. I don't know about the wiring 'cause I bypass the stock speaker wires and ran my own wires. Good luck.

in the rear speakers there are 4 wires running to each spkr/amp assembly wire harness...2 are the speaker wires and 2 are for the amp - just disconnect and ignore the amp wires and connect your speaker wires to the new 6x9s

Yeah, I did the same thing, jsut bypass the amp and run the wires to your new speakers. the only problem is that you might have to bypass the wiring harness in back of the head unit to bypass the speakers for the back 2. I did a complete system changeup, and totally got rid of all 4 bose speakers and my stock head unit. that was challenging, but i like it better.
