3rd Gens Don't Have Y pipes do they?
i was talkin to this dude and he said VGs have no Y pipe cuz they're connected at the bottom of the headers? is this an accurate statement?
|
i think the y pipes fit both cars ve and vg
|
so a cattman Y pipe would fit...?
|
yes, a Cattman pipe will fit, but I perfer Warpspeed's pipe instead...less money, same product.
and that guy is partially right....2nd gen Maximas DON'T have a Y-pipe, but the 1989+ 3rd gen Maximas DO have a Y-pipe |
the Y pipe is the part that connects both sides at the bottom of the "headers"
(it's actually a cast iron manifold, but we'll let him call them headers for simplicity) here's a pic of a Warpspeed VG Y pipe and a stock y pipe (stock VE and VG pipes are the same, aftermarket are different) http://www.ee.utulsa.edu/~mblehm/pic...2/MVC-008S.JPG |
do you have a VG or VE? mine is an a/t VG. do they actually make the exhaust flow a lot better? is it cuz they're thicker in diameter? i cant picture the way is fits on a transverse v6. hmm, if anyone has any undercarraige pics of it, please post. thanks
