Well kids, I'm moving on...

Now before you get any ideas about parting out my 3rd gen, I'm keeping it. And intact.
Last night I signed for a 2K3 Titanium Edition SE 6sp! Sterling Mist w/Charcoal leather. It's loaded except for nav. HLSD and all. They gave me a deal on a 4,500 mile demo that I just couldn't refuse. So, it's on to the 5th gen forum for me. Behave yourself. I'll be keeping an eye on you.

Sorry to see you going away, but at least not far away.:)

However, if you do decide to part out your car............jk

I am glad you are keeping your 3rd gen, it is sweet! Dont give it up, they are original and people will be searching for them more with the 6th gen coming out, since it is the REAL 4DSC.

At least you are keeping the real Maxima. :D

I'd take that Engine and transmission in my car anyday, too bad it's throttle by wire tho.

I still love my 3rd gen, but it won't last forever. The exterior is still about the best looking one ever. Especially lowered with larger wheels and a body kit. But it's time to move on to the big dog.
The 5th gens are just never going to grow on you, huh?:D

I'll never change my opinion of the Minima either ;)

Anyway are you planning on showing the 3rd gen still or what?

nstymax93 Jan 21, 2003 04:53 PM

Probably. If Jeff wants to do some shows like Carlisle I'll probably go. The new one is going to stay stock for quite a while. Now I have to save up to move to Florida some day. That's the next goal!

I got it on a lease. I plan to buy it out afterwards barring any reliability problems. This is partially the reason why it's staying mostly stock for a while. And the fact that I just flat out spent too much money on the 3rd gen! I can differ some money this way save for our potential move with lower payments and buying it out later when other things are paid off. I got it loaded for the price of one without the leather and Meridian. It was about $28K with tax, tags, interrest and the first payment rolled in. It had to be a good deal to get it this soon before I was really ready. :)

The more the merrier! Maybe I'll throw a shift knob on the 2K3 and put it in the "mild" category. Rob could bring my 3rd gen. There. It's settled then.:D

Sorry dude. The front has gotten to me a bit, but that rear is still fugly. Plus they are just too big! I drive my father in-laws 2001 SE sometimes, and that thing is luxury car big. No thanks.

That's what I thought when I saw the new 6th gen. Seems more like a 40-something guys luxo-boat. Just too big. Don't blame ya. You just got there 1 generation before I did.
Cheers!:)

Sorry to also report that I also bought another Max (99SE) and will have my 3rd gen for now. I will be more in the 4th gen forums now that I have to start on this one. Will be checking in on here though.
The third Gen is the Grandaddy of them all (its like the R32 skyline in its legacy).

SEguy182 Jan 24, 2003 10:19 AM

so we will se both of these at nopi next year right?
If you need someone to drive one down im only like 5000 miles away:laugh:

I'll have to win the lottery before my new one goes to Nopi. By the time the 2K3 is ready the 3rd gen probably would no longer be able to make the trip. This is the last night that the poor old thing will be in the garage. It's out with the old, in with the new after this.:(
