for those who had their auto or manual transmission rebuild, how much did it cost and how long did it last?

DA-MAX Feb 8, 2003 03:35 PM

comparing a manual to auto tranny rebuild is like apples to oranges....pretty much same principle, but different procedures and prices. my auto tranny rebuild cost me $2000 and I got a 3 year warranty and a cooler, that was ~4 years ago. theres not telling how long a rebuild will last its all dependent on your driving style....

I have to get my auto tranny rebuilt and I just wanted to get an idea of the cost and the performance.

 WOW!!! sweet deal...I would have had them do mine too this summer if I still had my car, $1650, VB mod and 2 year warranty is awesome!

Finally the "VB mod" thing makes sense... I was always like... wtf are they talking about???
