brembo's used on the Z and G35?

I didn't search this but thought I would ask: Has anyone thought if the new brembo brakes that are on the new G35 and Z would work on the 3 gen? That would be a nice upgrade. Just a thought

they could fit on the front.

the brembos are only on the track edition (i think) - most likely they'd fit the front...that WOULD BE HOT! :redbounce

yes I know that they could fit on the front but I was also thinking about the back ones as well! Since they are being supplied to Nissan they may be available to us.

I agree. Saw a Red track Edition 350 Z this week at dealers. Brake setup looked awesome as did the rest of car. Man it's tempting!!!

sure, they will fit... IF you have enough money, time, and patience to custom make mounting brackets and modify half the suspension just so the brakes would clear.
there are a LOT of issues goign into whether those will fit or not, not just the fact they're "nissan brakes".

I don't think any Z owner with the Brembos would want to give them up. So you have 2 options, buy them from the dealer (and get raped on the price), or get a Z and pull the brakes off it (A]why would you do that??? and B]if you had that kind of money why not just buy retail Brembos???).

Just a thought. :p

it is all about the principal of things. It is not the fact that they would cost an arm and a leg to get but the fact that they are available at all. I would never strip a Z or G35 for the brembos. As it stands the Grand Tourismo brakes are way too expensive to justify putting on my car, but if somone races their car (on the track) the brakes would be a welcome +.

Aside from the fact it says Brembo in huge letters, there's no reason I would want it on my car.
I can do a lot more braking with a lot less money than that.
