Is anyone on here running a yellow top under the hood? I need to get one but i would like to know if there are going to be any fitment issues etc. Pics would be appreciated.

I got that battery, too. Pics are on my website. The ONLY fitment issue I had was that it wasn't tall enough to make the tie-down as secure as I would've liked. So, what I did was cut a 3/4" piece of MDF that I treated with a lacquer sealer and trimmed to fit inside the battery tray and set the battery on that. I'm sure you could use something else, but that's what I did.

Don't feel bad J. Tossed mine too. Pix on my CarDomain page as well. It's shorter than an OEM battery. I have a Stillen pop charger intake so it may actually get a little more air with this smaller battery. My car had to sit out for the first time throughout most of the winter due to me buying a 2K3 and I think it actually started up better than it did when it was garage kept and running on a Diehard Gold battery.

You could use the red top on a passenger car also. Just don't get the blue one. That is for marine (boats) applications. Just ask for a yellow top Optima and that oughta do it!
