SeaMAX Apr 5, 2003 01:10 AM

I got mine yesterday...

But has anybody noticed that the teeths are uniformly chips on one side. Is this intentional. I never seen a maxima flywheel before so can;t tell whether this is how its suppose to be or not.

nubiannupe Apr 5, 2003 09:05 AM

Chipped?? I see no steeenkin' chips! Guess we'll find out once you rev that baby up to 5k rpm's and give 'er a go!

James92SE Apr 5, 2003 09:29 AM

The teeth aren't chipped, Fidanza cuts the teeth at an angle to make it easier for the starter teeth to mesh. :)

Brandon90gxe Apr 5, 2003 11:38 AM

 Those look very nice Matt.

How much do seats like that go for?
Are you still going go use your stock seatbelt system?

nice seats. and yea...are you gonna use your stock seat belts? the only thing left stock in your car is the carpet remember? :D :wall:

Matt93SE Apr 5, 2003 03:47 PM

That's correct. :)
I've got a set of 4pt harnesses in the garage, but haven't had time to install them yet. when I do, I'll make them removable, as I don't expect everyone getting in the car to feel like dealing with them... although for how I drive, they should be wearing something better than the factory belts. :)

how are you going to make them removable? i thought you bolt them to the frame of the car.

Matt93SE Apr 5, 2003 04:50 PM

I have a few tricks up my sleeve. :)

The ones I bought are permanent bolt-in type, but I'll send one back and get a removeable one for the passenger seat. it's got an extra set of buckles on it so that they can be removed without unbolting the whole thing.

Matt93SE Apr 5, 2003 06:59 PM

sweet!! I dunno if I'll make it, but I'd sure like to go.. I'll see what happens. :)

If only I had time to get that flywheel in..... I'd be running mid 14s. :)

subs1000w Apr 5, 2003 08:19 PM

is there a diference between the fidanza and assco flywheels because im waiting on my assco although im ****ed because i paid way more than you guys

D-sta Apr 5, 2003 09:24 PM

Very nice. You will feel a nice difference in the flywheel...I did:D
Nice seats my friend has those in his bimmer, I always liked them but I thought they would look funny on a 4 door but it looks good. Nice car Matt and like lophix said I want to buy an M3 but you make me want to keep my car and save my money. Whats next....a roll cage????

AscendantMax Apr 5, 2003 09:39 PM

haha the roll cage is next month's mod for matt  jk

yea :( MSRP $889

Matt93SE Apr 5, 2003 10:59 PM

I'm not going to put a cage in it... unless they make me. :wall:

Aasco and Fidanza flywheels are just about the same.. differences are trivial.

the seats took some getting used to, but are extremely comfy on long drives. the suspension kinda beats on you in the factory seats, but in these you're supported so well that the only thing NOT supported are my man-boobs..
even my huge gut is supported now that I've got the 4 pt harness in on my side. :)

just curious, how are those seats when dealing with shoulder movement? with some of the seats i've sat in, some give more shoulder range of movement, while some just won't let you budge.

Lordrandall Apr 7, 2003 01:28 PM

Just weighed my Fidanza Matt. 9.5 lbs.

:)

I talked to the guy at Fidanza every week for about 6 months about making the VG and the VE flywheels. I finally gave up and got my from Stillen for $399. What did you guys pay?
