how do you reset the ecu

It's always a good idea to reset the ecu after every modification. Before you go ahead and reset it, you should first check for any stored error codes.
nismodrew..all you have to do is disconnect the battery, the loss of a current supply will erase all of the store info the ecu has. Also, when you reconnect the battery, it's a good idea to aid the ecu in the 'relearning' process. The FSM states that during the period of 'relearning' the car could run rough and so on. After you reconnect the batter, just let it warm up to operating temp, slowly raise the rpm up to 3000 and slowly bring it back down. Do that a couple of times, then take it out for a gentle drive. Going slowly but constantly up to 60, then slowlying down slowly to 0. |
