Replacing Cassette player with CD/Cassette combo
I am replacing my poorly functioning BOSE cassette player with either a cd player or a cd/cassette combo. How difficult would it be to install the bose combo into my 94 max? I have the drawer under my tape player now and I assume I will need to remove it in order to install the tall cd/tape combo. Will the combo HU fit into the space where the original HU and the drawer were?
I planned on buying an aftermarket cd player, but I think buying a bose HU used (probably from Ebay) will save me money and provide me with a better system. Do you guys agree?
Also, does anyone have a functional cd or cd/tape Bose HU that they removed and are willing to sell?
Thanks for reading.

as far as i know, none of the oem headunits are actually made by bose, they're just matched to the bose amp system. you'll get more features if you go aftermarket, like xm or changer control etc. however if you go oem, you may get a unit with separate antenna/amp wires, dimmer capabilities, who knows.
