What's my Maxima worth??

I thinking that I might want to sell my 1992 SE Maxima. I would like to ask you guys what a modified Maxima might bring. In other words if you where selling it what would you try for.

92 Maxima SE, 5 speed, 150,000 miles, pure white (good paint),Sun roof,Grey cloth seats, 18 ADR 6 spoke wheels, New 225/40/18 Nitto NT555, FI carbon fiber hood,Unorthodox Racing flywheel, Centerforce DF clutch, Cross/sloted drill rear disc, Suspension Tech lowering springs, KYB front struts, custom camber adjustments, tinted windows,Small bright fog lights, new window regulators.Overall the car is in tip top shape needs nothing, but driven.

Thanks
Jason

Honestly, the only way you'll sell it above 3k is to find someone who actually cares about mods. To any normal person, you've devalued the car with the mods, so you'd be ludacris to ask for 3k. You're better off converting everything back to stock, then selling the mods and car separatly.

Go to KBB.COM, notice there is nothing on there about mods...

Most people have trouble paying extra for a lot of mods. They prefer to buy a stock car and put the mods on it THEY want. But, all is not lost for you.

The best thing to do is to put it in the Autotrader for a pretty high amount -- say $3800 or $4000 OBO. Keep the wheels on, because it looks way better in the ad and you will get more responses. Autotrader has a feature where you pay I think it's $42 and the ad will run until the car sells. Also make sure it is put on their website, because you'll get a lot of hits that way, too.

Eventually, you will find someone who wants it bad enough to pay more than you would expect. If not, start taking down numbers and offers along the way. Negotiate about things like the wheels or hood that can be converted back to stock without much trouble.

I recently had an 86 5.0 mustang GT convertible that I bought for $1600. I put in a new heater core, fan clutch and cleaned it up real nice. I was into it for less than $2100. I put it in the autotrader for $2600. It took about two months, but I sold it for $2600. I had two back up offers of $2200, but I just kept waiting.

Good Luck

Thanks for the help. I going to try to sell in with the mods.I'm willing to take my time with it selling. If it does not sell after awhile I might just keep it, or convert it back to stock and sell the parts here.

Thanks
Jason

BTW, the blue book on it is over $3000 (I think around $3300) if it were stock. Just by having the wheels and new tires, replacing the regulators and putting in a new clutch, you should easily get $3500 for it. If I didn't have mine, I'd pay $3500 for yours and let you keep the hood :D

I got dibs on the hood if you decide to part it.
