wipers don't return to bottom of windshield
 

I Just bought a 93 GXE. I have discovered 2 issues # 1 is the wipers do not return to start postion when control is switched to off. #2 issue the auto climate control display lights go out untill you tap on the dash. Are these known problems and how do I fix.

Try replacing the wiper motor relay, learn from my experience. I had the same problem like yourself, whenever I turned off the wiper it would stop exactly where it's at instead of returning to the bottom of the windshield. I tried a different switch, motor, broke of the DVOM started checking the circuit, everything. Who would have thought about the relay, because the wipers were still working just not returning to the bottom so I assumed the relay was good. The funny thing if you pull out the relay the wipers will still work. Change the relay

WOW I love the web I spent the $18.00 bucks on the relay popped it in and it works like new. Thanks for the post.
