you get bit by a shark or what?

SeaMAX 10-23-2003 10:53 PM

it might be cheaper to just buy another WW lip then try to fix, remold, and paint

nubiannupe 10-24-2003 03:27 AM

Server must be down, cuz all I see are "x"'s

Maxima-4DSC 10-24-2003 07:44 AM

i see what you did and the cost of refabbing that you would be able to buy about 2 new front lips. So just bite the bullet and lok into a new lip.

I think the reason he wanted to get it repaired is that he couldn't find a lip separate from the full kit...

#1 reason why i'd never buy a fiberglass kit

SXN 10-24-2003 12:35 PM

aha, fixed the pictures...owww. i would say because of all the damage on the right hand side of the lip, get a new one :(

fiberglass or not, I don't think it would make a difference. I hit a carboard box on the freeway (alternate was to swerve and hit a wall). It ripped apart the plastic bumper and bent the metal fender. Point is, cars are built to disolve on impact..especailly with hard curbs

when its fiberglass vs urethane when it comes to damage i hands down take urethane. i'm not talking about bumpers and fenders here...strictly bodykits...

DanNY 10-24-2003 01:13 PM

unless you have that piece that broke off it's a lost cause.

buy the kit..take the lip and sell the rest.

aw89maxSE 10-24-2003 11:09 PM

Oh man, so it's a lost cause huh........

I had this guy that was gonna fix it but he hasn't been around for me to talk too. I was planning on taking it up to this body place that some of you may have heard of, "TruColor". I was told they might be able to do it but I have no idea for what price so I guess I can only see......
