Chilton's Online Service Manual !

I'm tired of referring to this link so everyone please utilize this source! I also has some 4-gen VQ30 tech info also!

For those of you that need the manual for another car, you can find it on there, but it's a little tricky.

Go here: http://www.delmarlearning.com/browse_bookssoftware.asp

in the search box on the left side of the screen, type in the model you're looking for (I'm working on a 97 Pontiac Sunfire today, so I punch in Sunfire)

The search comes up with a couple results...

2. GM CAVALIER/SUNFIRE 1995-00
Chilton
©1999, ISBN: 0801991145

Now that you've got the ISBN # for the manual you need, it's easy to go from there.

The numbers you need are 4 of the last 5 digits in the ISBN (91145 in my case).... remove the last digit.. (so you've got 9114)

Go back to Jeff's link above:
http://www.cybrrpartspro.com/Chilton...961m/8961.HTML

In both places where the link has the 8961, replace with your numbers (9114 for me)..

Voila!! you've got the manual for your car! :)

So far, it's worked for the two cars I've tried to look up. dunno if it will work for all of them, but it's worth a shot.

This is a little easier if you're looking for another model.

Looks like they are changing it over to a new site, no estimate on when it will be back up just yet. if you go to http://www.cyberpartspro.com it points out a couple other names so I'm not sure what the new one will be.

www.alldatadiy.com is a good FSM site. something like 21 dollars for a 1 year subscription and after that is 15 dollars for renewal.
