hi all!
i recently purchased a sony xpolde head unit for my 94 max GXE. i think it was model csx6000 or smething like that. it retails for about $180. any ways i installed it and hooked up a set of subs to the preamps and a set of 6x9s to the other set of preamps. well now my bose speakers wont work but i think it is because the att (mute) is on. it says att-on everytime i turn it on. i read the manual but cannot figure out how to turn it off. this might make my speakers work. the two sets of preamps work fine, like normal. do i need the rotary commander (remote) to turn it off? it didnt come with it.any ideas? any help would be GREATLY appreciated. thanks, zac |

hmmm i have the Sony cdx-c5050x model, but I dont have the bose speakers hooked up anymore, but for the att if you dont have the remote then there should be an att button I assume?? I have a remote, and even if I put my att on, as soon as I turn up or down the volume it automatically turns the att off. weird that yours doesn't...

Re: sony head unit
okay...let me clarify the problem. i have a sony xplod CD head unit in my 94 max that i bought from circut city for like $170 i think. the face flips down and thats where you stick the cd. anyways the problem: NONE of my 4 bose speakers put out any sound at all. there is no att/mute button on the head unit. however i have 2 10's and to 6x9s hooked up to the 2 sets of preamps and they both work GREAT. now what is wrong here????? i bought a factory wiring harness so i dont think its the wiring, and even if the bose were the wrong ohms, etc. whatever there would at least be distorted sound i would think. could it possible i got a bad HU? any ideas guys? this is driving me crazy....

Speakers
I may have no idea what im talking about, but If your getting sound to your 6x9's & 10's I believe you should swap out those Bose speakers cause the HeadUnit is putiing out sound to the others.
