Max Wouldn't start this morning!

Hey guy's, got in my car at 0445 this morning to go to work, and it took me ten miniutes to start the thing! I cranked her over and she sputtered and died. I cranked and cranked and it didn't even try to start. Finally, I cranked it with my foot to the floor, and after 2 min. or so, it started. It's been raining for the last 2 day's and I also have a big hole in the flex section of my Y-pipe. Maybe I should quit letting my Girlfrienfd drive it! Anybody have any idea's? :banghead:

My car did generally the same thing when the fuel pump stopped working, but mine didnt start without some parts, so yours could just be malfunctioning. but i'm no mechanic, thats just based on my experience.

Wonderful! I wonder how much of a PITA that's going to be. (Not to mention how much lighter my wallet will be!)

If it's the fuel pump all you have to do is take out the rear seat to get to it. Not that hard. I don't know how much for the pump though. Maybe the max doesn't want to be woke up that early in the morning and is trying to tell you something :nono:

That's undestandable. I don't like being woken up that early either. Thanks for the advice.

After a really hard rain, my Maxima also has trouble starting. Requires cranking for excessive time and a little use of the gas pedal to start it. Only happens after really rainny days. Does my problem sound like the above? Is water getting in the fuel, or in some electrical contact and causing some trouble. My mechanic had sad he had heard of Maximas doing this, but couldn't remember the exact cause of the top of his head.
