So what the hell does that black cylinder in the trunk do again?
I remember a somewhat large thread discussing this topic early last year but i couldn't remember if we came to a conclusion....
I simply want to remove it because it's a b!tch to build around for my stereo setup.
Some people say its some sort of counter-balance. If so, for those who have removed it....did you notice a difference in the suspension dynamics at all?
Do auto VE owners have it?
Do any manual tranny VG drivers have this.
I've talked to a couple local guys here in toronto and the auto vg guys have it. i know a few 5-speed ve guys that don't have it....

I just want to get to the bottom of this once and for all.

TIA ppl

it holds gerbil food for the gerbils that power the mighty VG motor...VEs don't have it cause they run on coked up hamsters, they don't need food cause they are always spazzing

I've never had one in any of my manual VGs, so I would venture to say its just a GXE thing.

Ive heard if you hook it up to a VE you get 240HP (thats what evilvamp7 told me)

I hear if you put two of them together in a VE it is like a 50% increase in torque, that would set you at about 285 ft lbs. You have to make sure to ground them correctly though, or they will fry your computer. Wanna hook it up on my VE this weekend massmail? BTW, I have a gauge pod pillar pic if you want it massmail, PM me if you want to see it.

On a more serious note, -shock211- ditch it if it's in your way, it doesn't really do anything worth noticing, I doubt it is very important if no one in a few years on this forum has figured it out.
