I just bought a set of Hella Optilux fog lights and want to install them. I don't know if they are compatible with the factory prewired wiring but I still want to check. I had my car on a lift and couldn't find the wires. Where are they supposed to be. I have a 93 GXE, they are there, right?

Thanks,
Roman

Check under the hood. Right under the headlights you'll see a longer wire with a cover on it, doubled up on itself and taped. Untape it and you'll find that it's pretty long and reaches down to the fogs.

good luck.

I was wondering that myself, since I just got a free fog light dash switch off of an SE at the junk yard last week. I went looking today, and there it was...

Open the hood, look on the drivers side towards the front bumper. You will see a set of wires going to the front bumper lights. Banded onto that set of wires, is another set, with a plastic plug in the end connector. Same applies to the passenger side. I assume that fits right into the SE stock fog lights harness. I bet you could cut off the connector and splice right into your new fogs. Let me know how it works, as I want to do the same very soon.

BTW...the switch harness is taped to the mirror control switch harness, and plugs into the stock SE switch, found at most junkyards.

I hope this helps!

yeah

thanks a lot, that really helps.
I also bought a stock fog light switch off of ebay a few months back, so I'd really like to use it and have a clean install.
I'll let you guys know how it turns out, I'll try to get to it this weekend.

Thanks,
Roman
