Like Craig said on the other board I like that last shot.

MrGone Apr 30, 2004 09:43 PM

I like the last shot too.

add to list:
-Copy Matt :p (i like the aluminum and the seats, not a big fan of the shift knob but bah!)

btw, next weeks project should include making a new radio mount and installing the gauges :D

2k3TitaniumSe May 1, 2004 03:59 AM

Looks nice. But you should make them thicker like the AE peadals.

MrGone May 1, 2004 04:24 AM

this is one thing Matt didn't make lol.

Matt93SE May 1, 2004 05:28 AM

You guys don't like my JDM 300ZX shifter?

Mike, the first set they sent me was for an auto.. I mailed them back yesterday morning. shoot them an email and see if they'll send them to you. :)

89badmaxse May 1, 2004 06:05 AM

man i love your whole dash set up looks real clean with the aluminum how can i get a hold of these pedals and soem nice aluminum trim?

Matt93SE May 1, 2004 06:45 AM

pedals are linked at the top..
some of the dash kit is from Joshua tree... (it's their "real metal" kit). www.woodtrim.com

the gauge bezel and shifter piece were both custom made by me.

DMad8724 May 1, 2004 07:02 AM

that shifter is tight! your interior is nice and clean
pedals match everything perfectly

Maximan190 May 1, 2004 08:33 AM

nice gauge pod :wall:

jwmaxse May 1, 2004 09:12 AM

Nice seats, forgive me if you didn't talk about them in a previous post, but what are they?

dmontzsta May 1, 2004 09:19 AM

Looks very nice.

I cant wait until my debts are paid off this year, time to take the Max to the next level.

Matt93SE May 1, 2004 10:34 AM

300ZX shifter

but an Anniversary Edition would match the rest of his interior better and looks nicer anyway :)

Shugarhi May 1, 2004 01:16 PM

Match better?
Let's see, I've got a RED car with BLACK interior and RED seatbelts. a BLACK shift boot with RED stitching is on the way.
my dash kit is bright brushed aluminum... why the hell would I want something with a semi-gloss aluminum finish that's in the shape of an alien head?

Brad, it's a J-Spec 300ZX shift knob. factory shifter that's been modded to shorten the throws. (and it's NOT the hacksaw type of mod)

I didn't know you had red seatbelts. It looks nice and smooth, but I just think it looks a little boring compared to the rest of the interior, but you might be right about the shades of Al not matching very well.

With the new shift boot, it should look very nice though so you can keep it.

ALIEN HEAD POWER!!!!!!!!!

That help, Craigy? :)

Jon91SE May 1, 2004 03:25 PM

Never thought I would see the day. :chebosto:

:spin:

Matt93SE May 1, 2004 03:36 PM

I only bought them to help heel-toe better.. and they work. I can actually do it in this car now! :D

KLoWnPR109 May 1, 2004 04:46 PM

I knew I was in trouble when I was in the passenger seat, and I look over to see Matt strapping himself into the seat just to take me for a ride

Matt93SE May 1, 2004 07:32 PM

And when I hit the first corner, you immediately knew why I had those harnesses. :)

Cool, it looks nice and short! I like the seats too, but what did you hook the shoulder harnesses to? It almost looks like the passenger side is on the rear seat.

not bad, but do sport seats really make a difference on cars with minimal suspension work like yours?
:) j/k

good stuff. I'd seen a couple pics of the seats before but I dont recall seeing ones with the seatbelts. I guess I need to browse through your different directories more. I usually spend most of my time browsing through shadysport trying to find more pics of that car.

bonzelite May 2, 2004 09:16 AM

you have tastefully altered the interior of your car, matt. good choices all-around. esp. the shifter. and seats.

your car must be extremely fast at this point. you got the VE and she is boosted, right? with VLSD. whole nine yards.

DMad8724 May 2, 2004 09:58 AM

Will they be making them in any other colors? I think black would look good In my car...

Matt93SE May 3, 2004 05:43 AM

go to their website and see what they've got. black isn't an option. they're machined or bead blasted aluminum.
you could always paint them black, but it'd wear off pretty quick due to all the wear from your shoes.

Chad, I'm not boosted..... yet. :wall:
Craig, I actually never had pics of the belts posted online anywhere.. I took them several times, but somehow they never wound up on my webpage.. they'er floating around on my HDD in three places now. :\

Brad, they attach to the bolts for the rear belts between the top and bottom portion of the back seat. it's a little difficult to get someone back there, but I don't really care since I might need the back seat once a month. usually it's just cargo space.. If I know I'm going to be hauling people around, it's 5 minutes with a 14mm socket and extension to remove them and bolt the factory ones down.

robdog May 17, 2004 02:28 PM

Very nice matt. Did you have any problems taking off the accelerator pedal? I put some momo pedals on and the accelrator pedal was a pain to take off.
http://images.cardomain.com/member_i.../444291_22.jpg

Matt93SE May 17, 2004 04:15 PM

Nope.. this one you actually drilled small holes in the factory pedal and screwed this one onto it. the rest of them, you remove the covers and drill holes in the backing plate..
