Are VE's supposed to have an IACV gasket?

I pulled my IACV a while back and there was a gasket on there but it was damaged when I removed the IACV. I'm not sure if there was supposed to be a gasket though because it actually blocked part of the the airflow instead of just going around the perimiter of the IACV. I called the dealer and they said there was no such gasket so I ended up making my own. My car idles a bit rough so I was wondering if this might be the cause.

contact Ken from Jerryromenissan.com, he'll look it up for ya. It'll probably cost you $2/pc. There are 2 of them on a VG engine, VE might have less. If you're doing it, might wanna consider doing the throttle body cleaning while you're at it. Pick up a few extra trottle body gaskets too, they're dirt cheap at Jerryromenissan. Wait a min, I think we got the same engine. Is your engine a VG30E or VE30x?

btw if you called Ken up, ask him what is the current 30% off code and please post them here. Cuz I've been asking forever and he might not like that...haha. I am terrible, I picked up so much stuffs from that stores and still paying around 10-20% lower than local stores, yeah all OEM stuffs. goodies!

So did yours block part of the airflow too? I didn't know if someone put the wrong gasket on there or what the deal was.

my gasket is mostly intact (although glued to a part of the IACV with gasket maker), it is supposed to block i believe coolant from circulating through the spring assembly. not sure how bad it is to not have that but if it runs fine you'll probably just dirty up your coolant with whatever might be lurking in the spring assembly.

I put it back on exactly how it came off. Couldn't figure out why it was like that so I just put it back together the same way it came apart.
