Air Conditioning
My airconditioning now blows hot air.
took it to a referred mechanic this morning. He claims my 91 uses the old system (R12?) and he needs to convert it to the new one. Then he would check if the compressor is ok. if not, i would have to fix the compressor. so basically, he claims he can't diagnose the hot air problem until after he converts it.... does that sound right to any of you? thanks - Noela |
yeah, 89-92 had R12
93-94 had R134a R12 is generally considered better for cooling, but it's not enviromentally safe The conversion kits I've seen are pretty simple and shouldn't be a big deal |
