?s about screw on VE ECU...

Ok lately I've noticed something that's sort of freaking me out. My selector screw on my ECU seems to have been forced past stop at some point like the caution label warns against, because it can spin in full circles. It seems to work because I can select modes and stuff, but I can't tell where the "stop" points or "fully clockwise" positions etc are. Now in my FSM I've read that the VG's ECU screw opens and closes the AAC valve. I'm having idling problems. But I can't find any reference to the screw affecting the IACV/AAC on the VE ECU in the manual.

So does anyone know what the consequences are for the screw being in wrong position on my VE? What exactly does it change? The manual says to always turn it fully counter clockwise after youre done using it, why?
