door won't open
 

tonite i was driving around with a bunch of people listenin to my new system ( 2 12" MTX 8000's and a Hifonics zx6000)... sounds nuts.. but anyway i go to get out of my car and the door won't open i played around wiht the locks and rolled down the window and tried it from the outside... nothing .. what could have happened and can i take out the door pannel from the inside without it bieng open?

You can get the door panel partially off but it's a *****. The bad thing is the screws up front are behind where the door closes against the dash. One of your rods has probably come loose. You have to really flex it to get it even partially off and the chance of damaging it is good. Sorry man, I've been there and it sucks. Try everything you can to release the latch without screwing up the panel.

what are my options then

well ... 1 more thing i can think of ... try to "steal" ur own car ;)

u just might be able to catch this door "release" with an "old" thief tool through the window opening

PS: ask somebody with maxima to help u out - open panel on his/her car and use as "directions"

thanx... i might bring it up to the dealership and see what they have to say about this.. but im not looking to spend much money.. im saving for a new car right now because my max is considered totalled, but its drivable
