Lower control arm loosen, what else will be broken?
Now I am a donating member for the help I got from this forum.
I just have a CV boot and an engine mount replaced, now it was found that the left lower arm control needs to be replaced. I don't want to pay $100 for the labor to replace the arm on my $1000 tradein value maxima even though I like it very much. The transverse link is loosen from the gusset at the bolt(bushing?), it seems something missing and the arm has more space to move. Do I need to replace the whole arm or can I just replace the damaged part? |
:worthless:
the arm has 2 bushings that can be replaced and a balljoint that can be replaced. the arm itself is a solid piece of metal. nothing to replace on it except the whole thing. now with pics we may be able to tell you that it's not the arm and it's a different piece. BTW you can replace a control arm yourself within a couple of hours. |

it's priced per bushing.
