offset Q's
 

ive tried looking with the magic search button, and to no avail. I'm trying to find out what the offset is for a 91 se with stock rims. and to all the wheel guru's, will a 17x7 rim with a 48 offset fit on the car without rubbing or looking to messed up. thanks.

I dont think a 48 offset would look right at all,Matt told me to run a 17x8 with no rubbing you need a 35 offset but a 32 would work but rub a little on the rear so you owudl have to roll the rim.Not 100% sure but I dont think a 48 offset would work but I may be wrong.

Uhhhh, ok. You don't roll the rim, you roll the fender. +48 w/ a 7" width will be very close to the strut in the rear -- whether it will clear or not I can't say for sure. For reference, an 8" wide wheel needs +38 offset or lower to clear the strut housing in the rear. With a decreased wheel width you can raise the offset a little and still be ok, but 10mm more is pushing it.

whats the offset of our stock 15s??

im running 18x8s with a 30mm offset and since im so low i had to roll my fenders(rear only) because it rubbed ever so slightly on the wheel well(outside) it sits flush with the body and i think is a great look.

i think a 48 offset is probably a honda rim.....

I am pretty sure a 48 offset would rub the strut, especially in the rear. My 17x7 rims are 40 offset and even with 215 wide tires, they are pretty close. Like TripleGmax said, they are probably for a Honda or something.

damn...just look at the tie of my post i guess 7:24AM my time just got up for work.. and yes you roll the fender and not the rim... the only place you roll the rim corretly anyway is in canada :) good ol tim hortons roll up the rim to win.
