Eh.
My q: Is tHere smbdy who has not yet seen an oily engine? Hint: build u site, post a link. |
just one question: What air tank capacity do you have to operate that 90 degrees drill? All I have is a 25 gallon tank, and I need to fix the studs soon, one of my exhaust nut actually broke off and went flying while I was on the highway.
|
I went and grabbed a bowl of cereal even though I have broadband :wiggle:
I swear it looks dirtier in the pics than it did when you were over. Head/header looked brand new |
i may have done a little de-turding....
wiking you were asking me for these pics last week!?!? the pics you get are only so good with filthy hands on an ezxpensive digital cam... |

MyGreenMax94, have they been changed before you got the car?
|
mattcomet82, two things: Is that a Carquest oil filter I saw on your engine? And also, it looks like it's time to tighten up those valve cover screws.

quite a few q's, one at a time.
yes, it is a carquest filter. one of the two knowledgeable places around here, plus my buddy has an account.the valve cover gaskets are probably original, but i'm not putting any more work into this motor. i have a spare vg i'm about to pull and rebuild. i wanted to get a few more hours under my belt with a mxima before i did a major rebuild. yes, all things are possible with the strength of our lord the lift. i never would have tried this had i not had one. notice the tranny jack in the corner? the radiator stayed there the whole time. all i had to remove on the front side was the compressor and dipstick tube mount. i did have a 90deg drill and lift, it may be necessary to remove without these luxuries. i did replace the fan shroud while i was there. it's so nice to have fully contained exhaust. i still have yet to chop the old and weld on the new magnaflow, that'll be next. it hasn't been steam cleaned, i just try to keep it looking good. having all those pieces off gives you an opportubity to reach some remote filthy places as well. plus i still have all my under motor shields. |
is it just the VG that has this issue or is it both the VG and the VE?
|

They both have the stud issue.......Except mine:D:D:D:nervous::noes: |
I didn't say, replace the v/c gaskets, just tighten the screws, silly. It sometimes helps the leaks slow down, or stop untill the screws loosen again.
