Mizeree_X Jan 5, 2006 08:41 AM

Scandinavian winter set in?

Josh Jan 5, 2006 08:57 AM

probably still a little bitter about the brake thread where Matt owned him.

bhunter Jan 5, 2006 12:44 PM

I miss his wit and knowledge. Last time I remember him here he was in a flaming match with someone who didn't read much and wanted the answers given to them. I bet he's reading:gotme:

vansskaterfreek Jan 5, 2006 03:11 PM

i hope he is ok...... seems weird to just disappear like that.... i hope he is ok:noes:

goon9 Jan 5, 2006 03:46 PM

I got a Christmass card from him. Just emailed him... I hope he's alright.

90pearlSE Jan 5, 2006 05:18 PM

I have to admit he's an acquired taste, but his presence is definately missed...

Josh Jan 5, 2006 05:42 PM

his cardomain was updated yesterday so we can be sure he's not dead.

vansskaterfreek Jan 5, 2006 06:02 PM

Does this include when you're lurking and not posting? Because if it does, that seems like a awful long time. It wouldn't seem right not seeing a post in almost two months.

Maybe he got married

Matt93SE Jan 6, 2006 06:46 AM

He hasn't been around since a few days after our little brake thread....

He had a ton of useful info, but some rather strange concepts about certain things... we agreed for the most part and everything we didn't agree on was simply a difference in opinion, but his "you don't need rear brakes" posts just couldn't be ignored and I had to say what I said. If that ran him off, then my apologies to him for being thin-skinned... but you simply can't tell a forum of several thousand people that it's okay to disable your rear brakes because rally drivers don't use them (when in fact they use them more than the fronts)..

Anyway, I'd like to see him back.. I like picking and nagging at him over trivial things. :)

Dillbag Jan 6, 2006 09:17 PM

did that guy ever figure out whether or not to swap his rear brakes?
..........oh and,
candiman, candiman, candiman........what now.

VEvolution Jan 6, 2006 09:50 PM

I never understood why the guy never tried to improve his translator program or what ever it was that had made it a mission to comprehend each of his posts. There were others like Phatsta from the same part of the world, and spoke just fine with his own type of translator. After I tried helping Wiking out about it(since his info was good, but not his english) all I got was an obnoxious, childish, hard headed reply one after another.

AscendantMax Jan 6, 2006 10:22 PM

i miss reading his witty replies :(

kc10fish Jan 7, 2006 02:00 AM

i'll drink 2 to the man.....helped me fix my 4th gen and the ex's 3rd gen. elec. guru he is and all.

maxitech Jan 7, 2006 06:24 AM

Here's to ya, Wiking!

He wasn't using a translation program. that was just his English...

maximapitko Jan 7, 2006 07:35 AM

I could never understand the guy although I think that there was nothing wrong with his english...99% of his replies were very short and very weird:bustrun: I hope he sticks around though-he seems like a guy who knows a few things about electronics...and it will a shame if he gave up on the org just because of a small arguement...

95turbo gxe Jan 7, 2006 08:21 AM

yeah I was wondering the same thing? what happen to him. I started to make apost about him too. He know a lot and posted a lot each day. But dam his sayings are hard to interpert some times though.

Well than, can't blame him for trying. I think I still remembering him saying something about his translator. Maybe just my imagination.

I've never tasted Wiking, but I guess you were closer to him than the rest of us :ugh:

Matt93SE Jan 7, 2006 01:35 PM

his comments weren't exactly hard to understand, you just had to think about what he said and interpret some of the language barrier.

Then again, his english and grammar were better than half the idjits that were born here.

At first I was like WTF are you taking about, until I remember what I wrote. One mistake, that should be 5 times not 3. Candyman was a movie back in the early 90's of a killer who would appear out of no where if you said his name 5 times. Two other sequels were made after the original

Now back to Wiking

Minty91GXE Jan 7, 2006 05:37 PM

in response to "i caught a fish and its green, can you tell me what it is?"
wiking: "no you see, my father was a fisherman and that is what we call, the WEED." lol

wikings the man

dtahsee Jan 7, 2006 06:20 PM

Yeah, I was wondering about him too. As for his english skills, cut the man some slack. How many people here would bother going to a foreign language forum and fully participating in the discussion?? I missed the brake thread, so I dont know what was said, but maybe he took things the wrong way. I'm just sayin'.
