Yesterday I fixed my power door locks and today I have multiple fan speeds...feels so good....
Just saying thanks to those who helped me find it. It was smack dab in the middle. I did find it the first time but I was expecting to see wound-up resistors on there (like in my Camry) but instead there was a chip.... I basically just soldered the joints because they look kinda burnt out since they get really, really hot (chip is rated at 140C). I also modded it a bit since I broke a resistor(?) and I hard wired a bridge in there to complete the circuit. Used a ohm meter to check it and now it works perfectly! Before I only had high fan speed.... Moral of the story? If you can use a soldering iron and have the same problems I did, I'm almost positive you can fix them yourself instead of paying $60 for the door locks and who know how much for the fan amplifier. |
