$85 isnt too bad. i may want to get some in the near future, is this like a one time deal? or will you have them for a while? also, how do they mount on the oem plastic ones?
|
I probably know the answer to this, but
Is it possible to have Maxima on the kickplates instead of Cefiro? I realize these item are probably made in bulk and not individual. If this is possible I will be more interested, just want to keep Cefiro a Cefiro and Max a Max even though they are two of the same thing.
|
yeah, i'd rather have aluminum "maxima" kickplates
|
so are these not true jdm "cefiro" kickplates? just manufactured here in bulk to say "cefiro"? if they arent true jdm i'm not as interested, and would rather have "maxima" kickplates.

wow...
how come I've never seen either of those cars before? The first DOES look alike to a 3rd gen...but much tighter. I love the skinny 3 light headlights. The second car "gloria" is ugly IMO.

yeah, they were floating around a while back, i think mikey posted them, so i saved them. lol. the gloria looks like a third gen with a bentley front end mounted on it.:) if only we could get those lights or mirrors off the cefiro.;)
|
I like them both. They both look very different tho. The gloria looks very similar to the 3rd gen (look at the turn signals). I have seen that pic of the Cefiro before and I am still wondering why the hell the front wheel is bent like that? Holy messed up camber Batman! can anyone explain? I wouldnt mind even doing a headlight conversion with the gloria, that would look hot.

L-R, J30Maxima, Y32Gloria, A31Cefiro. Interesting, but I can't see much panel sharing going on between these three. The J30 was a world car design but aimed at the US market. The other two are JDM specific, designed and released around the same time but different cars completely. The Gloria in the pic of James' looks like a J30 with a Y32 nose-cut. <Waits for Maximamike to enter> |
where's mikey when you need him? mikey will eat anything, heh. jk. he's probably the guy that could sort all this out though.
|
These are CEFIRO kickplates off A33 (5th gen)..

These are imported... sorry.. no maxima kickplate for 3rd as your demand :( in Japan.. the 3rd gen Maxima are called "MAXIMA" in Japanese.. hehe.. it's not A31 Cefiro's... A32 = CEFIRO/I30/Maxima/Maxima QX A33= CEFIRO/I30/Maxima/Maxima QX SY:)~ |
The 3rd Gen Maxima was called the Maxima in Japan, wasn't it? The Gloria is not a 3rd Gen, as seen on this page..
http://www.motorshow.or.jp/eng/data_...1/1991_15.html The previous Cefiro was the same chassis as the A32B Maxima Infiniti I30. The current Cefiro, I believe, is also the same chassis. I don't know anything about its drivetrain. I believe our 3rd Gen is a Maxima everywhere, except in Canada, where they have that Brougham edition or whatever. I could be wrong, though. -Kaleb |
ah, so that picture i have of the gloria is just a 3rd gen max with a gloria front end conversion.
|
The 3rd gen Maxima as we know it here is called "Maxima" there. The A31 Cefiro was a RWD, RB powered car. Sharing nothing with the 3rd gen Maxima. The Gloria is a larger Q-45 like vehicle which shares the same front end configuration as our cars. That blue Max is just a 3rd gen Maxima with a Gloria front end. That green car is an A31 Cefiro(word).
