Non VLSD VE Auto trans???

Okay I am in a bind here. Here is the deal. Bought a trans from Japanese Engines off eBay for my 94 Max SE VE30DE auto. My car has the posi (VLSD) with ABS. Trans arrives (long story) but it looks like the RE4F04V in my car. The exterior looks the same, the pan looks the same, all the sensors are the same, so it is definitely not a VG30 trans. I proceed to remove the old trans, in the process I pull the driver's side axle shaft. Looking into the old trans in the car, through the hole that the axle comes out of, I see the end of the passenger axle shaft. Okay, so I take the axle to the new trans to test fit, and it doesn't fit! The axle seals look smaller on the new trans, and if I look in the hole on the new trans I see a pinion shaft between the axles. Looking at the spline on the axle shaft, no way this thing is going to fit the new trans. I think I have a non-VLSD RE4F04 trans here. Did any VE come with a non-VLSD RE4F04? This guy sold me an auto for a VE30DE. I know there is a RE4F04A version that I assume is non-VLSD. Anyone know for sure? If it is non-VLSD, and I get new CV shafts, will it work with the trans computer I have in the vehicle now?

Not sure man...I have never seen a non VLSD in a 92-94SE.

You can always buy mine. I know mine is a VLSD trans plus I have brand new axles that go with it. If you can get your money back from them and are interested let me know...other than that I dont know what to tell you...sorry.

Neither have I. I am quite sure that they are all VLSD's. I think he just screwed up and sent me the wrong trans. I will call him on Monday and find out what he will do for me. I will know better where I am at then. Right now I have a trans I cannot use and a car that is half torn apart. Grrrr....

the VLSD has nothing to do with the electronics so that isn't an issue.
you can actually get axles for a non-VLSD VE A/T tranny, but I've never seen one come like that in the US
