help-Blower won't stop blowing!

Hello, once I turn the key in my 90' se the blower motor wont stop. I can turn on the fan and us all of the functions. I have tried disconnecting the battery, pulling the fuse, etc... any help would be great.
thanks

It might be the blower resistor...

Assuming that you don't have automatic climate control since your profile says SE.
does the fan speed change with the switch?
or is it always going full steam?

rimmer1 May 31, 2006 09:00 AM

yes, the blower is always running at full speed. I do have climate control. The blower will blow even is the climate control is turned off, once it is turned on it blows full steam where ever you want it to blow.

you probably have either a bad relay or control head then

tobinaz Jun 29, 2006 08:36 AM

i understand there is a high speed relay ehich i haven't found myself, any luck?

Weird - mine only runs at full speed too, but for different reasons......

Basically, the 1 thru 3 settings for my fan speed simply do not work at all. 4 (full blast) does work however.

But since I have an A/C leak, there's really no point....

oh well.

internetautomar Jun 30, 2006 10:24 AM

yours is probably just a bad resistor

tobinaz Jun 30, 2006 11:23 AM

yours seems to be the power amplifier, that is behind the glove compartment in the blower housing

tobinaz Jun 30, 2006 11:25 AM

bad resistor or amplifier maybe same thing with different names
