I'd love to have projectors, but isnt it cheaper to get the parts from a yard somewhere from a newer model BMW or Murano or something and mod the back so they seat right?

most of them in ebay are 180 shipped average. add ccfl angel eyes it goes up. add hids it goes up. add hella ballast it goes up.

Talking about the link from PG? Do those units come with the ballast for gas ignition? I mean. Can I just buy the ebay link that already comes with the angels and wire & bolt it up?

alright. no matter what e36 light u get it will not be a direct bolt up. the us spec ones (non projecter) are the ones that u can buy (seperate) bolt on brackets for. they are another 70-100$ off ebay or .org members. gas ignition? if ur refering to HID bulbs. any glass lensed Projecter e36 headlight is good. it must have a projecter though. If they have angel eyes they usually are prewired with a positive/negative output or even the wirse. (hook up to running lights). any more questions ask me on AIM. ~ NismoPride

I know that they never bolt up. I work in a manufacturing facility, and have the capability to make brackets out of metal, weld, plasma cut or form out of fiberglass whatever I need. I just want to make sure I order the entire headlight, with the crystal lenses, ready for bulbs, with all the harnesses, with the CCFL angel eyes installed and secured already, and sealed up and weatherproof. I even have some great stuff that can improve the seal on the union of the lens. I want to make sure I get just the right part. Then I can cut and weld and mod all I want. Should I get the Ebay type? Obviously its Cheaper, but how much are the clear lenses? I asked the seller already if he can equip them for me or provide a seperate listing for either the lenses themselves, or the whole assembly.

Oh I'm going to get em. And I'll post the pics too. I just want to try to buy the whole assembly together, as if for a bmw. Then I can modify the hell out of everything. I was even considering shortening the width of my grille and its supports to mount wider light types.. such as aftermarket projector heads with angels from a newer generation Max.

Im almost going to go with those.. Unless I can get them with the completely clear lenses. Those look really close, but still have some ribbing in them. I want them looking like the ones at top. I want the chromed out interior.

Are they a better projector? I cant see why..

hella = amazing quality and preformance.

I don't think i could justify paying $700 for headlights when they look so similar to the $200 ones.

As for the ebay projectors, I would personally replace the stock glass with wade/gto covers (which are smooth) so that they follow the contour of our cars.

Get DEPOs. They are high-quality ZKW clones and are very good lights for the money. Check out www.understeer.com or www.umnitza.com.

I was looking at the corner lights. Doesnt everyone seem to want the clear corners to go with the heads? Do those fit right on the 3rd gen max?

If they dont fit at all, ok. But if they fit but there is gaps or something, I can fix that. Anyone who knows, please do tell. Im pretty sure theyve been discussed on already.
