changing automatic seat belts to manual ones

These automatic seatbelts always annoy me on my 94 gxe. i kno this is not an easy task to do, but is it possible to change them to the normal manual seat belts?

Canadian models came with normal seatbelts. It'd be a lot of work to convert them, but it can be done if you can source all the parts.

Supposedly, the bolt holes in the door pillars aren't even there to mount the manual belts. thus, it would be incredibly difficult to get them to mount into your car. not unless you can weld.

I've been having the same thoughts, the automatic are well annoying and a turn off to me but since the bolt holes arent even in the door pillars to begin with it my prove to be one of my harder fixes.
I was thinking of just installing entirely new seats into the car since I want to change the interior any way and the ones I have are stained as is. So please let me know if you run into any problems and there fixes so I can follow suit.

my dads pretty handy so i could attempt it this summer. it'll be a fun weekend project. also, there is already a buckle lock on the middle of the seat so just have to get the buckle from stock from either junkyard (so you can choose to swap it back), or gently dismantle the buckle and put it back together. this is of course not safe since ur life depends on that buckle.

i'll check out the canadian model and see what i can come up with this summer. maybe the dealer could hook me up w/ some pics of the seatbelt assembly and maybe some parts.
