I took mine off and now it is a bit louder and much beefier.
you will get a steady bass from it and man, it's nice to hear.
I have the Greddy SP with a 4 inch tip, I have removed the resonator, and I have a hi flow cat, so my sound may differ from others, but everyone has said that it is really much quiter than they thought it would be. The Greddy's on 4 cylinder's are louder because of the engine. the 6 just sounds like it has more bass.
those are my thoughts.

I cant personally comment on the Greddy catback but the VG is going to have a really deep exhaust note regardless,it drones alot when you free it up and becomes louder, very bassy.........i can set off way to many alarms in garages with my set-up now
