Thumping sound when engine is cold
I'm taking the max in to get a new clutch in a few days but wanted to get some opinions on this sound so I don't get a clutch job and then find out my engine is about to explode and I wasted money on a clutch.
The sound is a thumping sound when the engine is cold on startup. I can feel it through the brake pedal. It's not an even consistent thumping but more like thump thump...thump...thump thump thump. I only hear/feel it in the brake pedal at idle. If I raise the RPMs I don't feel it or hear it. When the engine warms up I don't feel or hear it either.
It's not my VTC's (you don't feel those anyways), mine already clack, I know what that is.
Could it be a misfire? I don't know what that sounds like. My check engine light isn't on or anything. What should I do? Change the plugs and wires? Any ideas?
