Does anyone think an that the vg30e max. can prduce 200hp at the wheels without an S/C, T/C, or NOS. Do you guys think its possible and if so what you think what is the best way to achieve 200hp goal.

Also, I remember you saying your friend with the green max had some kind of headlight conversion. What kind of headlights does he have?

My friend headlights was off of an 98" VW Golf.

My tranny is fixed and runing very well.

So, have you done anything new to your car. I know you made an custom intake and how is that do for you.

I haven't done anything more since you saw my car that I can think of. The intake is working good. I put it on the day before you saw it at Maxus and haven't had any problems except sometimes you will hear a slight whistle from it because I guess I didn't seal the edges of the adapter well enough, but it's not a big deal. Mr Rose was the one that sold me that filter and he already had the right adapter for it so it wasn't hard to put it on mine, it just bolted right up.

Yes a VG30E can put get 200hp at the flywheel or about 150-160hp at the wheels for an auto. The trick is to increase compression to 10.5CR, port the heads, get some cams. Then do the bolt ons with a JWT ECU. 5spd VG's with bolt ons, heads/cams put down around 150-160hp. IMHO NA power to that extent in an auto is kinda counterproductive. The reason is as you increase your engien's power the powerband shifts higher up the rev range. Given the auto's tall gearing its not going to take advantage as much as a 5spd will. You would see much better results from a 50 shot NOS from JWT. Because if your gonna rebuild the motor might as well put it on the bottle .
