weird problem with A/C

ok i cant really tell what causes the problem but it seems that my A/C would just "not work". i mean at times when i get in my car and turn the ignition on the lights on the A/C switches are on and it would work. and on weird days, it wouldnt. switches are off and i cant turn the d*mn thing on! any help you guys would be appreciated?:bawling:

It would be weird if it just kept on working...

Read this, check (jumpwire compressor), swap/clean relays, sight the sight glass... Then return with new questions. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/7

start checking for voltage everywhere, check the pressure switches for corrosion at the connectors

We have two 1990 Maximas, a GXE and an SE, and One recurring culprit is failure of the A/C Climate Control Head. We now have to have these replaced every other season on both cars. 1st one (from new car) lasted 13-14 years; but since then both cars 'eat' them. A/C compressor will start, but kick out and stay out - or - compressor only works at certain fan speeds, or in the latest replacment on the SE, blower would only come on intermittantaly - like 1 in 30 tries. Blower would stay on as long as car is running. But turn the car off, and it's back to the 1 in 30. My personal mechanic and I have been trying to figure this out for the last 2 years. Both fan speed switch and A/C switch fail; but of course you have to replace the entire assembly. Only two possibilities exist: 1) something is cassing an electrocial overload of the control head or 2) Nissan has cheapened the part and replacements no longer can handles the electrical load. We've check for corrosion on contacts with no luck. We've check for corrosion on contacts with no luck. We have the compresor and freon loop components checked out each time and there are just fine. Anybody out there have any input as to the cause of this?

T here it is...

No mystery how fans work: fans propel only when powered by wind or electrons. Trace where supply comes from - I'd start from swappin the mechanic ...:(
