MAF

i think i have a bad MAF...cuz when i disconnect the MAF and then start the car it doesnt start, it jus dies immediately....it should start and should not go up to 3000 rpm i guess? and plus my car hesitates when i come to the full stop and accelerate again it drops the speed for like 1 sec then immediately piks up the speed....could it be the bad MAF?

non-starting due to leaving the maf unplugged usually means there are other sensors that are bad.
try unplugging it with the car already running, see if it will stall out/shut off.

is it consistently around 4k?
does it matter what gear you are in?
I'm thinking coils, but if it's consistent that would be very unusual.
check your timing also, 4k is roughly where the computer starts to ignore the knock sensor.
Are you using premium gas? or just regular?

43:The mixture ratio is too lean despite feedback control; fuel injector clogged (1987 Sentra only): All others; Throttle position sensor circuit is open or shorted
(so people dont have to think "whats a 43, again?")

that's what benstoked. the leanness thing only applies to 87 sentra. all others' 43 means the TPS thingymajigger is open or shorted.
