Negative pulse door locks?
I'm in the middle of installing a new Clifford Matrix 12.5 alarm. All I have left to do is splice into the door trigger, parking light and door lock/unlock wires, but it got dark outside so i'll finish tomorrow. In the mean time, can someone confirm that wiring the alarm so it sends a ground pulse to the gray/red and sky blue wires, or what the Clifford guide describes as "Ground pulses driving factory relays" is the correct configuration for the Max? I'm pretty sure that's it, but the wiring diagrams in the FSM do not note any relays in the door lock circuit

Yes, it's negative.

I' ve got an old skool Clifford 8000 (????) wired up myself acording to the diagram and it works fine.

for the most part it does. something came loose on the door lock wire and took out the lock button on the door as well, but unlock works fine. So I just push the lock down when I get out of the car and it locks all 4 doors. remote works fine to unlock.
I figure it's probably just a loose wire, but I'm too lazy to dig into the jungle under the dash and fix it.

how far does your clutch pedal arm go toward the black rubberish matting? if it goes all the way to it then those yellow wires might be in peril.... my clutch pedal arm already broke the rubber matting on mine before i ran up the start switch to get rid of the deadzone at the bottom..
other than that it looks like a pretty clean install

Man, you're right about that. I hope they pay those guys well. But for the $250-$300 an electronics store would have charged for basic installation of my alarm, the installer(s) would probably only get a fraction of it

I think I said 2 weeks a couple months ago I'm doing more than I originally planned though. I have probably 30 hours of work left based on what I've done so far. I could probably finish in a week, but realistically it'll be a month or two.

haha i know what you mean. "suspension work HOPEFULLY this weekend" took what... 5 weeks? and the shop fubar'd my wheel bearings upon install so i'm going back again for warranty replacement and realignment cuz they botched my alignment too.... and of course i got to finish installing the interior i got from Goon... and figure out why my power locks don't work anymore
