VTC's went as i was driving.
 
yea, a little more than a week after the swap. there was no clack evident till it came out of nowhere....... pulled over, checked it out nd i knew it was done for. so im selling the whole car. hurry though, im not doing it forever, $250 takes her home. i am in vineland, nj. u must pick it up. today only, hurry..................

no pics, but seconds before it happened, it was doin More than clacking, more like hammering, you could feel it on the manifold. its sold, got 250 for it. im drivin ma dads s10 for now helping him sell it. its worth a good 2500. any takers, lemme kno.

what else could cause 'hammering' in the top end? i guess it's a moot point since he already sold the car (damn quick, too)...

sure it wasn't rod knock from a spun bearing?

wasnt comin from tha front, it was the rear head. u could feel it on tha intake manifold

Rod knock would be felt anywhere on the engine. I go with rod knock. But who cares, the car is long gone.
