Welp, shes gone folks..:( I was hoping to hold on a little longing to her for some more parts, but the landlord is selling the place, so it had to go asap. I still have many parts i pulled off the car still available in my for sale thread though..:)

BenStoked May 28, 2009 05:52 PM

that pic makes me almost as sick as it seems to make you...
:(
sorry she had to go.

I don't agree with your decision.. If it were rusted out or had severe damage then I would. But that was a pretty damn clean green VE. They aren't exactly plentiful..

:(

Think about it...nearly 350k on the engine/chassis/some major rust forming on the rear left strut tower and both rear door quarters/transmission locking up on me every other day yet again/ paint fading like a mofo..VS. a super clean vg with 130k/no rust at all/no major mechanical problems...

you make the call..:)

xx-Marshall-xx May 28, 2009 10:09 PM

Still though. Good times yah?
Lots of learning with that car

Didn't know it was rusting out. In that case, I guess it's justified.. Still sucks to know that it's about to get crushed, body looks pretty dang clean in the pics.

Meh, the body is "decent", but in no way nice. It had plenty of dents, none of which i wanted to fix :hs:..

All in all, the decision to dump the ve had many factors. Rust, mileage, maintenance, along with my longed waning desire to have a manual car as a daily driver. I've had manual cars as a d/d basically my whole life, with a few exceptions in between, it's nice nowadays to just pop it in "D" and take off :o... I dunno, i guess it's part of growing older(for me anyway)..:gotme:

I wouldn't mind having a manual car again as a joyride toy, but never again as my D/D..

You'll get bored of auto and want to go back to manaul again...you know its true.

To be honest, I'm glad the damn thing is gone, i was sick of looking at it all tore down. And hearing the landlord bitaching about it sitting there all the time..:slant: Can't really blame him though, it was an eyesore..

No name change, I'm kinda used to this one..

Darkwing48 May 29, 2009 01:37 PM

Is it ok to think of it as MyGreenMax94, and your current Greeny?

Just saying. :P

That car looks good. There are a lot of ext parts you could use for your VG. But oh well.
Be proud, you raised a good car.

I killed a Buick and a Jeep...that's about it...does blowing up two snowmobile motors count?

CapedCadaver May 29, 2009 04:46 PM

i think my parts car looks worse as it sits than greeny's car does as a cube of metal... tru story

I was thinking that the green/dark one on the other side of the road was a maxima, don't know about the white one..

akurtzer57 May 30, 2009 02:47 PM

I feel for you. Like if had to let my 1991 max go had for 5 years. Lots of sentimental value some good memories thank god she is in my garage safe and sound.
