Vg vs VE which is better?

VG VS VE which one is better and easier to boost?

BenStoked 12-02-2012 04:57 PM

Don't know how to answer the first part, but the VG is easier to get turbo parts for, due to the availability of a factory vg30et.

All depends how your fab skills are.

Hectic 12-02-2012 08:16 PM

The VG is wife material. VE is a little slut.

TonyJr 12-03-2012 01:11 AM

VE sound nice lol. I have a 92 se VE

TonyJr 12-03-2012 01:13 AM

As for the fab work I have central Florida turbo shop by my house. They are well know, top of the line work. Lucky me

StevePPD 12-03-2012 06:22 AM

If you insist on gonig turbo go vg for the novice the turbo setup is much more entry level and affordable. Im looking at $5k+ for my VE Turbo build. And I own the shop.

TonyJr 12-03-2012 07:08 AM

Wow. Really. And then I heard the tranny is too weak for turbo. Maybe I'll stay n/a

Galactica 12-03-2012 07:17 AM

Every Maxima trans is too weak for a turbo...lol

DanNY 12-03-2012 07:36 AM

the transmission can barely handle the stock power.

TonyJr 12-03-2012 08:37 AM

It's just not meant to be. I guess I'll go all show and no go

BenStoked 12-03-2012 09:29 AM

Manual swap that car, you can put more power down, without worry (to a point, of course)

I don't think this question has been asked before. Let us know what you find out.

In going to stay stock and just take care of the motor. It's running really good and has great compression.

Do that. I was thinking on that turbo route back when I 1st got my car. After I did homework on money, down time and fab work it didn't seem worth it. Plus I was too anxious to drive the damn thing.

Yeah where you been? Lol!

I had a Mazda rx7 turbo 2 back in my high school days, and I would love to go back to turbo, but the truth is its not worth it on a maxima. But I still love my max.
